What are order statuses?
Order statuses are the milestones in your order process — such as “Order Created,” “Processing,” or “Ready for Pickup.” By setting them up, you can see exactly where every order is at any given moment.
You control the display name of every stage, so you can use the names your team already knows. Each stage is also linked to a Status Category that tells the system what the stage means.
Where to define your statuses
-
Click the Settings (gear icon) in the top navigation.
-
Scroll to the Production section and click Order Pipelines .
-
Click Add Pipeline in the phase you want, or click an existing pipeline row to edit it.
-
Under Steps, click Add Step , then click the step to expand it.
Fill in each step
-
Step Name : the name of the stage (this is what appears on the order). Enter the exact name your team uses — for example “Pending Pickup” or “Ready for Collection.”
-
Status Category : links your step name to the underlying stage of the order, so EasyBiz knows what is happening. The categories available depend on the phase of the pipeline:
-
Draft (Pre-Production): the order has been created but work has not started yet. Use this for new orders waiting to be processed or sent to the production area.
-
Quoted (Pre-Production): the order is awaiting price approval from the customer before any work begins.
-
Confirmed (Production, Completion & Handover): the order is official and work is in progress. This indicates the order is active in your shop or factory.
-
Completed (Completion & Handover): the order is fully completed and has been picked up by or delivered to the customer.
-
When you are done adding steps, click Save . Your statuses now appear as the steps of that pipeline, and staff will see the step names on every sales order that uses it.
