Introduction to Bookings

Why is this important?

Without clear booking rules, you risk receiving orders you can't fulfill on time. Configuring this section offers three major benefits:

• Prevent Overwhelming Days: By setting Lead Times, you ensure your team always has enough buffer time to prepare before a service starts.
• Monetize Convenience: You can create specific options (like "Express Pickup") that automatically apply a Surcharge, turning urgent requests into extra revenue.
• Automated Logic: The system automatically blocks off holidays or non-working hours, so you never have to manually reject an order due to timing issues.

Key Components of Bookings

To get your system running, you will need to configure these core sections. Think of them as building blocks that work together:

• Booking Options: Define the types of services available (e.g., Standard Delivery vs. Express Pickup) and their preparation times.
• Time Slots: Set the specific hourly windows customers can choose (e.g., 09:00 - 11:00 AM) for each option.
• Service Areas: Limit bookings to broad geographical regions or postal codes.
• Custom Zones: Create precise, drawing-based map zones for accurate logistics pricing and limitations.
• Assignment Rules: Automate which driver or staff member gets the job based on the booking type or location.
• Blocking Rules: Set blackout dates for public holidays or company off-days to prevent bookings when you are closed.

Navigating to the Bookings page

Steps:

1. Go to your 3.0 console and click Settings

2. Click Bookings

3. You will then be directed to the Bookings page.
