The purpose of this step is to design the process for one part of your operations — Pre-Production, Production, or Completion & Handover. You can create separate pipelines for different scenarios, so a home pickup order can follow a completely different path from a walk-in shop order.

### Opening the Order Pipelines Page

1. Click the <Badge>Settings</Badge> (gear icon) in the top navigation.

2. Scroll to the **Production** section and click <Badge>Order Pipelines</Badge>.

The page shows three sections, one for each phase:

- **Pre-Production** — how orders are received and quoted before production begins. Skipped for confirmed orders.

- **Production** — the processing stages orders go through. Shared across all order types.

- **Completion & Handover** — how completed orders are handed over, delivered, or otherwise closed out.

### Creating a Pipeline

1. In the phase you want, click <Badge>Add Pipeline</Badge>. A panel opens on the right.

2. **Pipeline Name:** give your pipeline a descriptive name (e.g. "Home Pickup," "Service," "Shop Collection").

3. **Type (optional):** some phases let you tag the pipeline with a type.

   - In **Completion & Handover**, the <Badge>Completion & Handover Type</Badge> options are "Shop Pickup," "Home Delivery," and "On-Site Service."

   - In **Pre-Production**, the <Badge>Pre-Production Type</Badge> option is "Home Pickup."

4. **Add your steps:** under **Steps**, click <Badge>Add Step</Badge> for each stage of the process. Click a step to expand it, then fill in:

   - <Badge>Step Name</Badge> — the name your team uses (e.g. "Pending Pickup").

   - <Badge>Status Category</Badge> — the stage of the order this step represents. See [Set up the Status Library](/docs/set-up-the-status-library) for what each category means.

   - <Badge>Auto Trigger</Badge> — optional. Choose the staff action that automatically moves the order into this step, or leave it as "None" if staff will move the order manually.

5. **Finalise:** click <Badge>Save</Badge> when your sequence of steps is complete.

You have complete control over your sequence. To change the order of steps, use the drag handle on the left side of each step — click, hold, and drag the step to its new position. This makes reordering your process quick and efficient.

To edit an existing pipeline later, click its row in the table (or use the <Badge>•••</Badge> menu and choose <Badge>Edit</Badge>). Long-time customers may still see the legacy **Workflows** tab under Settings → Deprecated → Order Management — new workflows should be built in **Order Pipelines** instead.
